Re: Nissan pics and update

I stopped by SMB TX today only to find out that they have the Nissan Van body on site.

It sounds like Nissan already knew about SMB and is pretty excited about a Nissan SMB.

The current body will be outfitted with some interior seats and a PHT for the standard testing.. crash testing and such.

There is a complete van with SMB's name on it that will be outfitted and used as a demo vehicle.

(As soon as I remember how to prep and upload photos I will post three photos I snapped.)

Re: Nissan pics and update

I understand the arguments against the style/functionality of this rig, but I have been the owner of a nissan since 2003 and I have to say that I am looking forward to see what becomes of a SMB conversion.

I've seriously been considering a utility body for my next one.

All the off-road gear, batteries, and kitchen could go in the compartments, and the inside is wide enough for side-by-side captains chairs, and beds could go on the ledges inside.

Re: Nissan pics and update

Jam a pop top on it and it might be even better.

just some info. as far as i can tell SMB has wrong exterior length and interior dimensions on its website. they differ sharply on the dimensions stated at nissancommercialvehicles.com
