You're probably right about that Atong----I like both styles though. Hammer's seems to be easier to spot and grab, those on my '03 a bit less obtrusive into the field of view perhaps? Tough to tell without actually sitting behind the wheel.

I will say the new individual parts prices for the versions in my photos are very costly. Adding in the handles, caps, fasteners and A Pillar trim pieces you could easily top $200. I'd snatch the Pick n Pull versions if only to have them laying around or help a fellow vanner looking for this conversion.

Passenger side grab handle write up-

I know there is a set of newer style ones in a pick n pull near Portland if anyone is interested. Also rode in a f350 and the handles looked similar.

Re: Passenger side grab handle write up-

It would be interesting attempting to fit F-Series handles into an E-Series. Right off the top I'm sure it would require A-Pillar trim panels from an earlier year E-Series, without the grab handles. This way the necessary holes could be cut to fit the F-Series handles.

Its also those panels might almost fit the F-Series, slight trimming only needed to fit and still look good.

I think the windshield angle would be different and it might we hard to get it all to fit. But anything is possible

I am bringing this thread back from the dead.

I have a 1997 E350. There is a wrecked 2006 wan with the trim and handles about 30 miles from me. Before I drive down there, does anyone know if the A pillar trim is the same for those years?

The trim is the same. The 06 has the grab handles on both sides and yours has neither so you'll have to use riv-nuts or whatever to mount the handles, just like in this write up.
