Thule makes (or made) a cool swing-away hitch carrier pod. I've seen a couple come up in CL over the years. Makes it easy to get in the rear doors.

I've only owned the EB.
I prefer the extra space. There is more of a chance of dragging the rear going up trails so I removed the tire from under the back and placed it up top. With the EB I have enough room for a full size bed in back, storage and two more seats. Having 4 person capacity with plenty of room is a bonus. I couldn't have the extra seating if my van was RB. All this is IMO.

I considered long and hard on this, and went with a RB. I wanted something that would be manageable as a daily driver, and I don't have the interior fully kitted out.

We already have the big expedition vehicle, this is intended for hauling / daily use / weekender.
