Rear Side Cargo Door Broken Handle Replacement

The rear side cargo door handle on my 2001 E350 has broken. This is on the small rear 40 door that you open after you open the larger front 60 door on vans with the barn doors. The handle you use to open the 40 door has broken. I found the handle, but I am not sure how to replace it. It looks like the door handle is riveted to the door.

Does anyone have an instructional video, or simply instructions how to replace this handle?

Here is the handle I am talking about: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...KIKX0DER&psc=1

Here's what I used to replace the handle on the larger side door...

You'll need a large capacity riveter - like the Marson Big Daddy.

Are you sure it is broken (as in visibly broken from the outside of door) or just not opening the door anymore? Have you pulled the door panel off and investigated it from the inside to see if the linkage/cable/rod or whatever has just come loose?

I would definitely not drill out those rivets until you've checked out what's going on on the inside of the door.

Fixed

It was the handle.

I removed the rivets with a drill, and replaced the handle, and re-installed the handle with some nuts and bolts, and loctite. All good, about a 30 minute job.
