I had a GIANT hole in one of the penthouse windows (that I found out about *after* I took delivery of my Sportsmobile from its seller, grrrr......) and also a smaller hole elsewhere.
I acquired (and then used) both of these with great success:
1) Look for heavy-duty clear tape that's used to repair sailboat sails.
The stuff is BURLY. (And clear.)
2) There's also heavy-duty clear tape that's meant to repair tears in flexible-clear windows on convertible tops.
Both are pretty darn good.
Carefully cut some equal-sized circles (or squares....or trapezoids.....or whatever your favorite shape is) and go to town.
If you're really careful, you can minimize the visible air-bubbles when you press an overlapping piece against the hole from each side.
Good luck!
