Nope, there is surprisingly quite a bit of space between the bottom of the floor and the top of the frame rails. Take a look at page 2 of my gallery. https://www.sportsmobileforum.com/fo...ark-page2.html It shows what they cut out and how they dropped the floor 6". They get the full 6 inches by adding a 2" body kit.
Cheers

id weigh the price difference of making your garage door taller if it was an option. my buddy just bought a hightop van and made his 3rd bay taller to accommodate the van. then its taller for whatever vehicle you end up with down the line. granted he did the work himself, but his out of pocket was roughly $150 to reframe the header and 1400 to get a new door installed. people usually keep homes longer than vehicles.

I have a 8' door now and my HOA won't allow any higher. Also there just isn't enough space to fit a 9'. Good idea though. My search will continue.

Have you looked at the GTRV tops yet? If only adds a couple inches, if that.

Of course, I don't know if they install on used vans or even make an Econoline top anymore. And they don't seem to come up often used....

On that note... maybe you could just mount a donor roof over tge existing roof hole, add some hood struts and fabric, and viola! DIY GTRV top
