Before you throw some 285's on, what motor and gear ratio do you have? Being a 150, I'm guessing its a 5.4 but it could be smaller. If you have anything taller than 4.10's you're definitely going to feel the bog.

good point. For reference, mine is a 2003 E350 with the PSD and got it re-geared to 4.10 when the 285s got put on.

Mine is a 5.4, relatively low mileage (65K) and has 4.10 gear set.
Motor is strong but I think I going to go with the 265's.

Tire-size wise that's a good compromise and you shouldn't have any issues with body clearance.

Lookin' good van BTW!

Actually, I haven't posted a pic yet. Pic's in thread are other members giving me an idea of what I'm looking at. Much appreciated.

I'll snap some "Before" pic's later on today to post up.
Going to try to get tires it this weekend if possible.

I recently installed 265/70R17 tires on my 2012 E350 with 2" lift.

I had temporarily installed a set of 255/75R17 tires after installing the lift. Before I trimmed the plastic on the front bumper, they rubbed a lot. After trimming, they would occasionally rub at the back of the fender opening. Lady Shadetree was not happy with that.

The 265/70 is slightly shorter diameter than the 255/75, 31.6" - 32.1" and slightly wider 10.4" - 10". These 265/70's haven't rubbed at all.

My van has stock 3.73 gearing and we have averaged 14-15 mpg on the highway, loaded for camping.

Thanks for the kind words. The bumper is homebuilt. I still need to pull it back off and finish some of the welds.
