upgrading to 2008 front body style ??
Hello,
anybody with a pre 2008 ford E-series upgraded to the newer grille/hood/lights?
Is it fairly easy to do? Does it match good?
Maybe a little bit of fabrication for the lights brackets...
Thanks,
JT

Re: upgrading to 2008 front body style ??
I've seen several vans with this change. Probably a bunch of money for new fenders, hood, grill, lights, some supporting stucture, etc. If you are repairing a wreck, it is probably a wash, new vs. old style parts.
Certainly doable.

Mine is a 93 and it has been up graded with the newer mirrors, head lights, and grill.everything fit easily.
These are the best shots I have of that.
Hope it helps

I like the older style look better than the newer one. I guess I just have to get used to it.
Nice van Betty, love the SD mirrors!!!

No i think its from a 2004. i guess i miss read, sorry. if you want to go that new it will not fit and you will need to do a lot of work to get it right. 1992-2006 are interchangeable.

Yes, the conversion can be done.
Need new fenders, hood, hood support, bumper, headlights.

Why would you want to? The newer ones are butt ugly. Money to burn?

Re: upgrading to 2008 front body style ??
Ron. I have a 98 and have been looking at doing the mirror upgrade to the same mirrors you put on. I was told that there was a 3 bolt vs 4 bolt issue? Is correct? I also want to put the interior grab handle on but cant find any existing bolts in the A pillar.

I'm thinking of doing this update as well. If I'm not mistaken, it looks like the newer front clip extends the front out a little bit...maybe enough for an inner-cooler and a 12 valve Cummins.
