Wrench help? Removing seats from E350

Hi all, Can anyone tell me the size of the wrench I need to remove the seats (bolted to floor) in the 2012 E350. The Bolt reads SPF 10.9. I have all buckets seats in the passenger van and want to remove them. Thanks.

The 10.9 has nothing to do with size. A Class 10.9 bolt is a metric bolt made of alloy steel, quenched and tempered.

Somewhere between a 14 and 24mm socket.

Get a nice set of 1/2" metric sockets. They pay for themselves very quickly on a heavy duty van.

Thanks, it looks like the bolt is about 18mm and the nut (under the van) is 24mm.

Note the nut under the van is likely welded in place (to the floor, not to the bolt), so I would just try loosening from the inside first.

A lot of interior heavier bolts/nuts are 18mm on a Ford, more than a few underneath too.

Basically every front seat of every car or truck in the world is held down with 4 bolts.

Don't be intimidated. Take the bolts out and unhook the wiring and that is it.

I want to take the back, passenger seats out. They are all bucket seats, bolted to the floor.

Front or back it is all the same. It is just a bolt.
