Re: Aluminess Front Receiver

Bolts right on with four bolts supplied and all holes are already there.

What are you looking for?

Re: Aluminess Front Receiver

The Aluminess bumper requires that you "cut out" a section of bumper to install the receiver. What you cut out can make the install look good or bad depending on how much aluminum you remove. I just finished my install and if anyone is doing one, let me know I can send a picture of what I cut out.

If it's not too much trouble to post up that photo of the front receiver hitch install I'm about to do one myself and would like to see what it entails.

Just a reminder, these are for low weight only.. Not designed to hold much more than a bicycle..

Hmm, how much weight are we talking about? I have a fishing basket that I use in the summer filled with 10 gallons of water and firewood. It's gotta be 200 lbs loaded.

Aluminess can tell you for sure, I just remember it was lower than I could carry a small motorcycle with...

Aluminess said 150 lbs. when I put mine on. I used a Dremel and file to cut the bumper to fit. I'm only using it for a bike rack and one of those combo lock key storages that fit in the receiver
