I carry mine inside

Here is how I transport my 2 10ft Kayaks. I remove the passenger side captains chair and I built a rack that mounts to the pedestal. It means I only have 3 seats in this configuration but that is ok. Its just me and the DW.

I do not have access to my pics now bit this was the only pic on my cell available that I can post. In the back ground is my van with the removable kayak bracket for the two man kayak, and surf rack on the other side with canopy.
The rack will hold a tandem, two one man kayaks 6 stacked surf boards from long boards to shredders and camping gear for 5.
