Just got a versa hauler for my KDX650 need some advice.
Anyone know a good way to keep my hauler from bouncing. I have a 7" extender and have two brackets to stop movement, but the bike still jumps around on rough roads. I was thinking about adding two pieces of square stock to the aluminess bumpers and running more square stock out to the hauler on both ends of the bumper. Any other ideas, it looks like it will bounce right off the rack.
Thanks
Marcp
PS. bike weight 340lbs

If the movement is originating from the 2" receiver tube in the rear bumper, due to the tolerance differences, it can remove by using a Silent Hitch Pin.
You might also look at the tightening mechanism that Hollywood Racks has. I have not seen anythng like it before.
BUT it may be that the weight and lever arm will not be quieted unless you do something like what you are describing.

jage,
Is correct this is a really fool proof way to eliminate those annoying clicks, rattles , and stop and go thump sounds , and inexpensive to boot .
