New Camper,,,,, finally found a deal!!!

Well, stumbled upon a sweet deal for a Flagstaff (offroad series) pop-up camper!

2010 model that a guy had bought, however, his wife told him she wasn't going to sleep in no tent! So I picked it up for only 8K,,,, still had the manufacture tags inside hanging from the fans and what nots. I don't think the stove was ever light, nor toilet ever used,,, shower curtain or privacy curtain weren't even up,,,, still in plastic bags. Well, anyhow, you get the point,,, pretty much brand new.

Took a few shots of my son and me heading off for a weekend of camping and riding.

Back of van was loaded up with his CRF50, generator, van spare tire, and other assorted camping gear.

Borrowed my dad's quad,,,, I ride bikes as well, however, I was out there for my son in helping pick up some better riding techniques. Much easier to do from the quad,,,, if you know what I mean.

Sweet deal. I like that the quad fits in the cargo area. How about some inside photos? Enjoy.

Makes me jealous since I just sold my tent trailer. I will definitely miss it at our week-long camping trip at Carlsbad beach in June.

The moral of the story is to always check with your wife before spending money.

Good for you! Maybe not so good for him!

"Honey, I bought this new (A. tent trailer, B. hunting rifle, C. power saw, D. Sportsmobile) for you so we could spend more time together." I'm pretty sure these are the sweet, loving words every wife is dying to hear.

Next time try, "Honey, I bought this new diamond necklace for you to wear and remember me by whenever I go camping alone in my tent trailer."

One of my best moments was when i was out with a bunch of Broncos and I got stuck (twice) in my Bronco. After the second time, my wife turned toward me and said "what's a locker and why don't we have bigger tires?" Ended up getting a rear ARB and 35" tires based upon my wife's question.

Maybe I need to get stuck again, so it will be my wife's idea to get a front locker.

When I told my wife about someone on the Forum hitting a deer with their Aluminess bumpers and not damaging their rig, she said, "I want those!" When I told her how much they cost, she said, "I don't care! I want those!" We guys just have to get better at selling our ideas to our wives.

And you need to take your wife to more SMB events.

Our van was 2wd. My wife insisted on 4wd and bigger wheels and a 'tough-looking' bumper after she saw a couple of SMBs equipped like that.

Mine was always down with 4x4, but what really set the hook was the drizzly cold evening we sat and ate ice cream with the heater going- she didn't know we had a freezer OR heat and I'd snuck the ice cream aboard...

Now that sounds like a plan there!
