Off road coupler poll

..
For those of you that tow a trailer off pavement, what do you use to connect your trailer to your rig?

Off road coupler poll

I've got the Adventure Trailer 360 coupler. Works like a champ.

Re: Off road coupler poll

Anything but the Lock 'n Roll. Sorry that wasn't a selection so I abstained. SMB used the lighter version (#102) on its trailers. Complete POS. I will be upgrading to the heavier version (202) but I still don't like the single shear and inability to grease the joint. Only reason I'm staying with it is because I have the compatible hitch. Stay away from it if you can.

The love/hate relationships people have with offroad couplers is amazing. The same brands some people swear by, other people swear at.

I've seen lots of complaints about Lock and Rolls, yet some people love them, and some people love the "redesigned" ones. Max Couplers many people love, but some of the newer ones have come apart (though Max Coupler now says they have a fixed new one).

This won't be easy.

Re: Off road coupler poll

I cut the Lock n Roll coupler off my SMB trailer and installed a Max Coupler.

Re: Off road coupler poll

I chose the Lock n Roll. I went with the new design, but also the roll limiting design. I also liked how easy it is to attach the trailer. I have never had a hitch that was that easy.

Herb,

I'll give you my old Lock N Roll coupler if you want it.

Mike,

If Herb does not use it, I will gladly take it. Nothing wrong with having a spare.

Re: Off road coupler poll

I appreciate the offer, but I just recently scored on an unused, first gen Max Coupler, so I think I'm all set. Thanks again for the offer.
