Re: Oz Tents 30 second set up

Sounds great! I saw the picture on a 2 wheel drive Sporty. I wonder if it's tall enough to clear the back doors of my 4x4?

Re: Oz Tents 30 second set up

OK

It tags on the back of my van at a hight of 2m20 (or maybe more)... I don't have a high top though...
I have the RV4 model 2m40 x 2m40 inside, good enough to set-up camp beds.
I also have the extra sides to close the awning area.

I transport it in my Thule roof box, the bag is 2m long and is quite heavy...
I recommend this as when it rains the bag (although waterproof) becomes rather soggy to handle.

it is not a backpacker's tent but a 4x4er / Vanner tent

We travel always minimum 5 people and as the van sleeps only 2 or at a pinch 3 we need the extra accommodation...

Ah and for wheelchair access it isn't to good as the tent door has a high side you have to step over about 20cm high (8 inches).

It is a great tent! quite expensive though... about 600-700 USD I think...

saabman - Thanks for the pictures. That looks like a really nice set up. I too need more sleeping room as my son is getting too big for the upper bunk in my van.
