We have been wandering aimlessly for the past 10 years. The Airstream is our base. So far we have put on almost 300,000 miles on the van.

Very nice setup. What year and which engine in the van? Was most of the 300,000 towing?

This weekend we towed our electric Honda Fit down to CalPoly (San Louis Obispo, CA) for our son to use. With only an 80 mile range, the 270 mile trip would take a long time on its own
with sparse charging options.

Well, we’ve gone and done it now.....we had narrowed our search down to this Lance 2185, a 21 ft travel trailer with rear bunks and a convertible bed/sofa, slide out dinette and a real bathroom with a shower! We weren’t planning on getting it now, but this 2018 popped up on CL 20 min away and we couldn’t pass it up. Purchased it “used” from a family that only got out with it 3 times, they had a change of plans and moved into a new house.
I’m having lift blocks installed on the Torflex axles for some extra ground clearance and to help line it up better with the rig when towing, other than that the thing is immaculate. The rig is going in next week for a 4.56 gear swap. Our plan is to travel for 3 years after Lake is done with 5th grade this next school year, starting in Canada and Alaska next summer, van/travel trailer schooling! We’ll be able to stage and leave the Lance at various locals and still have the rig for exploring, side trips and reaching those hard to get to places. With that kind of extended trip in mind, we needed something with just a bit more space....I didn’t take any interior shots, but you can always look it up if you’re interested.

Picked up a toy hauler a couple months ago. Got it so our daughter (11 months) can have some floor space to play when we go camping but it sure is nice to have a full bathroom with shower too.

I bought the van because camping in the Jeep was not fun and my Vanagon couldn't tow it
