Argh.
Well, at least it looked good going down the road, and the bikes have their own suspension, so it could have been worse......
Yeah, it wasn't a big deal.. Did have the disk brake dust guard dragging on the frame a little, but no big deal.

Yea, I seem to remember you set your brakes on fire in Patagonia, so that does sound pretty minor....

Re: Trailer Project

At long last, I had some time. And after screwing up my order repeatedly, etrailer.com has mostly come through.

So I tugged the beast over to a friend's welding shop as I wasn't comfortable doing the structural welding that needed done.

And to make work easier, I winched the beast up against a telephone pole..

new Timbren axle less (which I intended to go with in the first damn place):

New steel frame to hold the Timbren, welded to the old frame:

Winching the beast back down:

Cool....the picture looks like some sort of transformer-bot battle.....trailer heeled-up vs. SMB.

Re: Trailer Project

First trip fully loaded.. Two bikes and a PA system for camping with tunes..

Worked awesome, pulls super easy. Now I just gotta finalize the wiring and a few last touches of paint.

Articulation check:

Airbags completely deflated....
Oh man... I was reading the entire thread, and thinking to myself early on "what happens if the airbags have an issue?" like I've experienced on a friend's project. Cool trailer!

I was building a single axle car trailer a few years ago, looked at all the options, and went with the 'tried and true' conventional leaf springs. Cheap, easy to get replacement parts, known flaws, ha!

What am I doing wrong that these photos don't display for me? Did I forget to make a payment somewhere?

Edit: Oh sure it shows up when quoting another reply---otherwise none are showing here for some reason. CP Settings perhaps?
