Transit build towing advice

Planning a build on a high top extended base 250 transit. Wanting advice on towing a jeep behind.

Anybody towing 4000 lbs behind a transit?

Should it have enough power for mountains?

Appreciate any advice for a newbie!

You won't even feel it going up the hills, if you get the EcoBoost.

You will feel it coming down. You'll want a good proportional braking system in the Jeep.

Exactly! ^^^ I haven't towed with mine but I do routinely put 3-4,000 lbs. in it. I have the Ecoboost 3.5l. The Ecoboost will tow/haul about anything you can put behind it with ease but it doesn't stop as well with a lot of added weight.

Got to drive a transit with Ecoboost last week, was pretty impressed. I'd love to see a picture of you towing the jeep with the Transit. Not something you see every day.

Re towing. It’s worth taking a gander at the http://www.fordtransitusaforum.com/#/. Towing capacity depends on configuration. Lots of towing experience and discussion.
