Who Knows ATVs?

I've always wanted some ATVs but haven't done much research. These look like a smokin' deal to the untrained eye, could someone comment? Thanks!

Re: Who Knows ATVs?

Those are the work horse type ATVs.

What type of riding you plannin on doin? Trail rides, fireroads, sanddunes, backwood hunting or fishing

I'm more of the high performance type ATVer.

Re: Who Knows ATVs?

Don't know, I've never been on an ATV. But I'd rather be in lo range than going fast for thrills, and I'm big and have bad disks in my back. And my wife keeps asking me where we would store them, so I'm thinking it won't happen anyway.

Re: Who Knows ATVs?

Funny how the wife can kill the project by asking a question. How do they do that?

Re: Who Knows ATVs?

Didn't sound like the wife killed anything. Sounds more like someone was having 2nd thoughts.

Re: Who Knows ATVs?

http://www.atvobsession.com/pictures/mi ... index.html

here are some pics of one of our atv trips........Quads rule

Jage, it's hard to beat hondas for their reliability. I think both of those quads are in 4x4 all the time, makes them a bit harder to steer.(most 4x4 quads have a selector to switch fron 4x to 2x) the hondas are great on fuel. I like the transmissions on the hondas, I am anti belt. Most of the new 4x4 machines are automatics and the run a belts like a snowmobile. I think the price is about right on those quads. could be good entry level machines for not to much money,,,,,,see if you like it. also the quads you show have a straight rear axle...more stable in off camber situations but don't ride as smooth over the rough stuff. I just went from independent rear suspension to a straight rear axle...no problems

riding my quad in the desert is about my most favorite thing to do.......

I am headed for southern Utah the first part of march to do some riding/exploring...TRI state Jamboree.
