1989 E-250 4x2 EB - LAST CHANCE at $2500<======>SOLD

I need to move quicker than I anticipated in selling my sportsmobile. I am in the works of trading this van in at a local RV dealer for a pop up camper. I originally posted this asking $5000k. After careful consideration (my wife insisted) I accept the trade in offer of $2500.

I wanted to repost here to see if anyone is intersted before I let it go.

I have owned the van since July 2008. I have made trips throughout Florida as well as a trip to Massachusetts and the van has never let me down. I have enjoyed the van but due to lifestyle changes I need to part with it. This would be a great van for someone that wants to get into an SMB inexpensively.

The overall condition is very good for 20 years of age.

The Good:
It’s an SMB!
The van is in very good condition. The 302 EFI engine runs strong and shifts are very snappy out of the C6. There is currently 120,000 miles on the odometer and I believe it still has a lot of life left in it.

I had the entire top sprayed with line-x. It looks nice and is super durable.
Power windows work.
Power locks work.
Microwave works.
Potable water tank/pump/sink operates as they should.
New converter.
Replaced power steering pump and lines.
Fridge works.
New batteries.
Recent tires.
Yakima roof bars with strap thang.
It is equipped with a receiver hitch and wiring.

Things that need attention:
Cab A/C does not work and needs to be converted to r134a.
Fuel gauge sending unit is not working on second tank.
It is equipped with star cool option but it is not working. The compressor will kick on but the lines are not hooked up.
Cruise control does not work.
The screens in the pop top are gone due to deterioration but the clear plastic windows are still in decent shape.
The exhaust is corroded at the tail pipe and needs to be replaced.
Through its life there seems to have been some moisture seeping through the bottom of the right rear door. This has caused the edge of the plywood and some of the surrounding cabinetry to swell and deteriorate.

Exterior:
The paint is fair for its age. I routinely wax it to keep its appearance nice but if left uncared for it will start to look dull.
The body itself is very straight and original with the exception of a minor ding on the rear door behind the spare tire.

Interior:
Due to its age the fabrics are quite dated and the front seats are sun bleached. There are no tears or rips but do look dated.
The carpet is clean with only a few dime spots here and there.

Hello I dont guess you want to take a trip to Jackson Hole and fly home would ya. On me of course. You did say that it has a 302 in it. I just wanted to make sure it is a 3/4 ton or 1ton.

Thanks
Ron

WOW! How cool would it be to take one last trip like that in it. You have my interest. To the best of my knowledge the 250 is a 3/4 ton truck.

Are you looking for a tent trailer or a pop up cab over? I happen to be getting ready to be selling my great tent trailer to buy a SMB like yours. We will be happy to make the trip to FLA.

Hi tahogal. I was in the market for a pop up and have already committed to one locally. At this point i really just need to sell the SMB to get cash for the transaction but thanks for the offer.

Congrats on the sale, I think someone got a good deal.
