1989 E150 Sportsmobile

Here's the scenario- The above with great camper/pop top shell w penthouse platform, good body & trim, small block 302 engine, good maint. records, both owner manuals, and well kept owner logs indicating typical mileage of 14-17 mpg. Other aspects are 58k mileage, newer tires with 20k on them, 34 gal gas tanks, onboard water, 2 burner stove & furnace , swivel front seats. Two big negatives the owner told me about were No AC anymore (toast-and about a grand to replace with modern) and needs 1 qt oil every 600 miles. Seems like a very well maintained rig & owner has only put 20 k on it since his purchase in 1996. All avble for $2900...................... I bet I should move on this one. (finally!) Thoughts?

Mine is an 89 E150 with penthouse as well with the larger engine. Paid $5,000 for it a year and a half ago. Check for leaks on the oil issue. Mine had a trans leak that turned out to be the gasket at the dip stick. For that price it sounds like a good deal.

There will be another. It took us 9 months to find ours.
