1993 SMB Ford 4.9L Gas

Selling a parts van or parts within the van. It runs, but would need work to make safe to drive. Needs coolant repair, brakes, and there is a ton of rust. Not worth restoring in my opinion, plus the roof is missing... Would love to sell it whole thing but willing to part it out as well. It's a 1993 SMB missing the pop-top. Located in Los Angeles.

Notable items available:
  • Passenger seat (swivels!)
  • Drivers seat
  • Propane Stove
  • SMB bench seats / Bed platform
  • SMB Storage cabinets
  • Side window
  • Roof vent
  • Rear doors with tire carrier
  • Side sliding door in decent shape
  • 4.9L gas engine appears to be in decent shape
  • Headlights
  • Wipers (control arms, motor, etc)
  • Windshield
  • Hood
  • Front Bumper
  • Rear Bumper

Already taken or removed:
  • Poptop

The van does run if someone wanted a project to wrench on. My quick non official list to make it road worthy would be:

Cooling
- Check fill coolant
- replace radiator

Brakes
- Check lines
- Check pads/rotors/drums
- Replace fluid
- Possibly replace brake booster

Engine
- Replace belt
- Change oil

Transmission
- Change oil

Body
- Cut out rust (there's a bunch of it)
- Check frame

Axel & Wheels
- New tires
- Check wheel bearings (Probably replace)

That's actually pretty decent looking in there, considering the age! This would a good candidate to turn into a trailer IMO

VANIMAL - Seeing where SMB typically cuts the roof, I think you'd have room to spare for a fixed top.

I'd assume so. I don't know the dimensions on the Fiberline, but if it fits to the gutter I don't see why not. The pop top fit similarly.

Asking $2500 for it obviously as-is.

I'd agree I think it shouldn't be an issue.

I considered doing that myself, but don't need yet another project. It'll need some mechanical work to be road worthy again.
