SOLD: 1997 7.3 E350 Agile 4x4 Sportsmobile Penthouse

Sadly it’s time to move on from this beast. The ultimate self contained off-road camper.

This van has treated our family well. Never once got stuck anywhere. Beach, desert, snow, it handles it all with no problem. Premium off-road parts and accessories made this vehicle unstoppable. Heater makes it a 4 season camper. Seatbelts for 5, capable for sleeping 4 with a buildout that supports the rear pad.

$45,000
1997 7.3L Powerstroke Diesel E350
173k miles

Agile Off-road 4x4
Sportsmobile Penthouse Pop-Top
Aluminess Front Bumper, Rear Bumper, Ladder and Surf Hooks
Warn Winch
U Joint style roof rack
Onboard Air with 2.5 gallon tank
17” Method Wheels
31” KO2 Tires
200 watt Solar System
300 AH AGM style deep cycle batteries
Blue Sea 7622 Battery separator
Maxtrax Traction boards
Upgraded Headlights
Light Bar
PIAA Fog Lights
Fender Flares
Switch Pros Control System
Espar Diesel Heater
90 QT Dual zone Fridge/Freezer
42 gallon fuel tank
Driver/Passenger swivel seats
Shop4Seats fold down leather bench seat with 24” extension for sleeping
CRL Windows Passenger/Driver side

Purchased in 2015 as a retired work van and built up. Had all fluids replaced at Ford dealer

Fall 2016 agile converted to 4x4. Most of the above was added then.

Two months ago, checkup/tuneup at agile with two new tires placed on the front.

This obviously has a minimal interior as it sits. Was going to build out (for the third time) but have decided to let someone else customize. We have been using it with a portable crib in the back behind the seat, hence why the previous buildout was taken out.

More pictures to come, don’t hesitate to as questions

If this is the one that lives down by trestles, I’ve seen it and it’s amazing.

Very well could be mine. There are three red "sportsmobiles" in san clemente. Mine has the only black top, otherwise they are all very similar. Coincidentally mine and another one both have a play on Clifford the Big Red Dog as our license plate haha.

Amazing van, sad to see it listed for sale. Been on tons of awesome trips with this van and it was the initial inspiration for me to buy and build my own.

Never seen Clif struggle on any trail on any terrain. We actually used him as the scout car more often than not since it was always the most capable vehicle in the group. Secretly hoping it doesn't get sold so we can still hit the trail together. Either way great memories with this van, and any future owner I am sure will make many more.

First time posting a video, hopefully this works. Nice clip I got of Clif on a recent trip out to Anza Borrego.

I believe it was fish creek. Main issue was the surf rack/ladder, but I have never made any body contact on the trails.
