Re: 1997 7.3 w/151k

I am really sorry for all the fuss fellas, Jage and I have already written to each other before all this started and if I decide to get a hobby tag I'll began to post them differently. I began flipping bikes, cars, motorcycle's you name it when I was in highschool I don't think I ever kept anything very long and before I knew it my next vehicle was free lol. The van thing just kind of happened and as a finance manager I have plenty of time on to surf the web, just sold a Wrangler that I drove by 5 nights ago...the owner wanted 11k I picked it up for 6,700 spent 700 for some rubber and sold it within an 3 hrs on CL for a nice profit.
I am more than willing to allow a forum member to purchase anything I have found for the negotiated price that I have made, and if you need someone to fly out and drive anything back I can recommend a couple of ex Alaska air attendants that are cheap, responsible, honest and fast.
Buck

I have no problem with you finding vans to sell us as long as you are also selling to non forum members.

Re: 1997 7.3 w/151k

I've had well over 100 vehicles in my 40 odd years on earth, so since I started driving at 15 I guess that's 4 per year on average. I don't consider myself a 'flipper' though. I buy them because I like them, then I sell them after I tinker with them or occasionally I buy with the intent of selling. Buck is just another person like me with a little more time and energy for the hobby. The internet has greatly opened up this hobby, job, or whatever you call it to many like him, and I suppose like me. He has stated his case and been honest about what he does. AND, he has openly stated that he will pass them on to forum members without profiting. I really dig that. There are many who wouldn't. I don't hold anything against Brent for his opinion, because I also love the 'brotherhood' of the forum, but I think that we should see the honor the values of both sides. No one has gotten greedy that I've seen, and anyone who does get greedy or selfish as an active member of a forum always gets slammed from every direction. Anyway, I responded to this only after some consideration because it seems it has run it's course, but as someone who might be labeled a 'flipper' I guess I wanted to state my case.

Your offer is quite generous!

It would be beneficial of some mention of this practice is posted in the forum descriptions...just to keep the buying and selling of expensive machines transparent to everyone...

later,
jan

While I see both sides to this discussion, I do want to point out Buck hid nothing from me and encouraged me to grab the van...
