I am the second owner of this 1999 Ford E250 (Regular Bed) Sportsmobile.
The interior is a slightly customized RB40 plan.
When I began looking at a van to take us around the southeast for junior
golf tournaments I had 2 requirements: 1) That it sleep 2 adults in separate
beds and 2) that it fit in my garage.
The SMB with a Penthouse top was the perfect choice. In fact, I dare you to
find another RV that will fit in a standard garage. I don't think they're
available.
So I bought this van at 63K miles from the original owner in April '09 and
have loved it. It has been garaged every day since I bought it.
What I didn't take into consideration was that we are city-slickers. In fact,
if you look up city-slickers in the dictionary I'm pretty sure you'll see
our family portrait. And I'm 6'4" and my 2 sons are closing in fast. So we
just couldn't work out the camping part.
But it was perfect for getting us there and back. No complaints whatsoever.
I have all the original paperwork from the original owner. This van is in
excellent shape both mechanically and cosmetically. I drive it every week.
It has been pre-wired for CATV and I'll throw in a new 16" 720p TV I bought
for it just this past month.
