2001 Ford E250 4x4

We are going to sell our 2001 Ford E250 4x4. It's an old DHL van that was converted by Boulder Off Road. Previous owner had a DHL business in Lafayette, Co. After DHL closed he painted it white to cover the yellow that's on the DHL vans. White paint is starting to peel on the roof and yellow shows through. It has 186,000 miles on it. When we bought it 5/2009 it had 166,000 miles. It has a cargo liner that we removed and insulated and then replaced the liner. Put in a bed frame and a small dresser. Plenty of storage under the bed. It is really a big bed on wheels. Also installed Roof Rack on top. When we first got it we put some $$ into it. We replaced the front bearings and U Joints. Later rebuilt transfer case. (I can't seem to find the receipts to give a better description) In 2013 we replaced pads/shoes, resurfaced rotors, lubed guide pins, repacked bearings, and replaced serpentine belt. My husband also did some work to help prevent the death wabble. (never has done it since) Always kept up with oil/filter changes. He can also give someone a better description of what has been done.

We just used it for camping. It got us into several wonderful 4x4 camping sites in Colorado and Utah.

We just bought a new van and want to sell this one. Not sure what it is worth. Any ideas? Or Make an offer

With out pictures it's hard for people to give you an idea of what it's worth. Plus you'd be more inclined to get more potential buyers.

Yep. It's good that you're honest about the van's pedigree but telling anyone it's a retired DHL/UPS/Fedex/Uncle Rico's delivery van is killing your opportunity to get a decent price. They are abused, plain and simple. Ask me how I know. I'm not at all trying to poo-poo on your ad. It seems like you've done some maintenance and have a nice van. With pics someone here will tell you more and/or buy it.

Appreciate your input. We are going to take photos this am. Not sure how to get them on this site, but we can email anyone that wants to see them.

86Scotty, Full disclosure maybe won't get me the best price, but it is what it is. We have not had problems with this van getting where we want to go; we are just selling because we decided to buy a newer van for our retirement and travel a bit more. My husband is 6'3" and deserves to stand up in it. In our new one he can, and he is sure happy about that.

Based on what I see in the pictures it's worth between $9500 -$10,500.00 I'm basing this off it being a insulated cargo van and bed platform plus a few extras. I came to this value based on your book value of the van, $920-1650 plus $8500.00 for the 4x4 and I kicked in $1k because it seems like it was taken care of after you bought it. Hope this helps am sure others will come to the table either agreeing or at a higher value. Based on the information you get from others you can always start high which will give you wiggle room for the sale. GLWS.
Cheers
