Low miles. If I were in the market, I'd add another $15K and you have a good V10, U Joint-4x4, SMB-interior for $50K.

I don't really need 4x4--as a non-expert, doesn't the limited slip help in some situations? I'm thinking of the road up to our summer place that is normally 2wd, but when it rains in the fall can benefit from a bit more help. Will the limited slip help there? and can some of you more knowledgeable folks advise about this engine and whether or not it's one of the "good" ones ( I know that's a loaded question but just want to aware of any red flags) And any ideas about gas mileage?

I"m in So Cal so may go take a look if it seems advisable.

Pretty sure all the vans of this age will be limited slip. It helps, but not so you'd notice. Basically if only one rear wheel is on ice, or a similarly slick material in an open diff you will not go anywhere, with limited slip you can actually proceed. So if both tires are on somewhat slick surfaces, its stands to reason it would help, and it probably does but there are so many other factors it's hard to point to limited slip and say "that's why I wasn't stuck". For example, the vehicle weight and tires will have a lot more effect on your rainy road drive. You've more than likely driven or owned a vehicle with limited slip these days.

Regardless it's not really a pro or con, you can just think of it as 2wd.
