6.0 Garrett Turbo, slightly used

Thread here http://www.sportsmobileforum.com/for...rbo-17082.html

No core charge so I have this turbo sitting here. It's heavy so shipping might be prohibitive. I'll put it up locally on Craigslist if nobody here is interested.

Got about 15k miles on it, problem was under use plus sitting. Should be an easy clean if you want to tear one down while van is in service.

It was $50 to ship my old turbo via FedEx to Idaho from AZ.

Got a gut on Craigslist interested, no idea what to ask for it. What's a deal price (here) and not so much a deal but still sells price (Craigs)?

I think most places are charging $250-$300 core charge. If it's still in good shape (just needs cleaning), I'd say $500ish.

I sold my stocker for $400. That was with 10k on a rebuild with a 360 thrust bearing and billet compressor wheel. I would think $300 to $400 is reasonable for a working turbo or does it need to be cleaned?

If it's off a 2003-2004.5 it will sell like hot cakes. That's the early one before ford modified it to get rid of the whistle. The diesel heads love to rebuild those.

2005.5 and it needs cleaned, not rebuilt. So, like $200, $250?
