Aluminess motorbike carrier & Honda CT-110 trail bike

Aluminess, the same folks who make the swing-away boxes, spare tire carriers, and bumpers for Sportsmobiles, made a motorbike carrier for me to carry a Honda Trail CT-110 motorcycle. I am selling both the carrier and the bike, and would prefer to sell them together, though I would consider selling them separately.

It's a great way to have alternative transportation when you don't want to break camp to get around.

The carrier slides into two standard trailer hitch receivers that are welded onto the van frame. Aluminess designed the carrier to swing away, so both rear van doors can be opened without having to dismount the motorcycle from the carrier. A trailer wheel makes the swing-out/in that much easier. The carrier is made from aluminum and can be lifted and slid into the trailer hitches by one person.

The Honda CT-110 Trail is from 1984 and was restored two years ago through Aluminess. It has four gears in two ranges -- low and high -- for off road and on road riding. There is no clutch, just step through the gears. The bike is registered/inspected in the Salt Lake City area. It is kept in a heated garage during the winter.

The motorbike carrier cost me $650 and the motorbike cost $1,800 restored. I will sell both for $1,450. I recently got a 650cc bike and it will not fit on this carrier. Aluminess thinks this carrier can carry a motorcycle up to 350 pounds.

Pick up in Salt Lake City or pay for shipping.

Please call John for more details at (801) 201-5767.

Very cool, I would think this should sell quickly.

Very cool indeed.

John, I sent you an email and will call you early in the week.

I would love for this to sit on the back of my SMB if possible.

Yes ... it is cool, thank you.

It took a bit of planning and design with the owner of Aluniness, who is also into motorcycles.
