Still debating whether to sell or modify. I paid $1400 for the rack + $600 for the extra slats, $300 in shipping and about $230 in taxes. I know, ouch! I hear Aluminess had a price increase so a brand new one is even a few $100 more and 8 + week lead time.
I'd sell it for $2k but I am getting prices to modify it to fit the penthouse.
Update: The cost to modify the rack is on the order of $500 to $600.
Is this rack worth $1500?
If so, I would put a thule up on the penthouse. They are lighter.
