American Racing "Baja" Black/Teflon Wheel 16x8 (1)

I have one American Racing 16" Wheel from an '06 SMB, in great condition, used only on the spare, and mounted only on the spare carrier. Wheel cap not included, sorry.

The model is slighty questionable - according to SMB at purchase it was a Teflon-coated 'Mojave' model, and it even came with the 'ATX Teflon' wheel caps. However someone at a tire shop (who destroyed my other 4 wheels and is thus replacing the whole set- long story) is telling me it's a 'Baja' model that's been powder coated.

Anyway it's hard to tell, not sure who to believe, and they both look very similar.

Here are a couple of recent pics. It's on the spare in these pics but you get the idea. I'll take a pic of the actual wheel if needed. As I said it's in great shape.

These are $200-$225 new. How's $75 plus shipping? Or pick it up in Tahoe. Email or PM with questions, or if you have definite info on the model. Thanks.

Re: American Racing "Baja" Black/Teflon Wheel 16x8 (1)

Jage,

Original thread is here: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2453

During a tire replacement at Big-O, they somehow managed to peel off the powder coat at the rim on all 4 wheels! Originally they said they'd take care of it, then backpedalled hard.

He doesn't know it but I actually owe a lot to Scatter (thanks for the pep talk Scatter!) - he convinced me to stay all over them, so I did, and after a couple of months and lots of phone calls, randomly showing up there, etc. they finally agreed to replace them at their cost. But in the process lost my business forever (after about 8 years and 6 vehicles).

Anyway the new wheels are American Racing Mojave's, which I thought these were. But they're slightly different in color and appearance. Either it's a model year change, or these are actually powder-coated Baja's. Being as anal as I am, and wanting to put this whole thing behind me, I bought a 5th new Mojave so I'd have a true matching spare.

Big-O kept the original 4 wheels, per the deal. Thus I have one left over. Also note that this one was not damaged.

Probably more of an answer than you were looking for but that's the story!

Someone make me an offer. I'm on the way to Moab from many places in CA
