Re: WTB newer year Chevy/GMC pop up van

Thx, I looked at this one. It's a very nice, loaded van, but it is a long wheel base.

I am still looking for a regular wheelbase model. That LWB is a real monster to maneuver on narrow, winding forest roads.

My dream at a minimum is a reasonably priced reg WB, Chevy-GMC AWD, pop top, a couple of sliding screened windows, located in the west somewhere, with at least a 5.3 engine that isn't too high mileaged.....May be too much to ask.

I will give this search about 9 -12 more months and continue using my Class B+ until then. At that point, ??????

Thx for all your help so far, and please don't give up on me!

No pop top, but its AWD and it looks like its partially converted inside. Add a pop top and you're good to go. The ad says its a 2500, but the wheels look like they're 6 lug.

Re: Chevy/GMC SMB search suspended for time being

Yeah, my fervent hopes are dashed once again, against the sharp rocks of reality.

Chevy did not put the AWD in the 2500 platform, though you could find some 2500's with locking rear ends.

Headed north this week finally and I hope to swing by to see the newly listed AWD Chevy in the Reno area .......if it's still for sale when I drive thru the area.

Cheers , happy summer travels and many thanks to all who have passed on info to me.
