Fold Down Shelf for Storage Boxes

Aluminess is a great company that makes great products and is awesome to work with. I have lots of their products on our van and I work them if you need anything.

For those of us with side swing doors (loading and access to the box can be easier than a fold down door) we have a retrofit solution made that provides the best features of both side swing and drop doors.

This is a high quality aluminum fold down shelf that affixes to the inside of the door. Stainless spring loaded latches and cable supports (cables are not yet mounted on the shelf in the pics). It stores in a way that will not interfere with door closing or a shelf mounted in the box. Should be ready to ship in a couple of weeks or sooner. PM me if interested. I will update this thread with more pics when they are ready.

I have only ten made. Here are a few of prelim pics:

1der - Those look like a way better idea and route to go than the fold down door. Keep this stuff coming!

For the 20" Galley or the 30" Deluxe box? I'm guessing the Deluxe, but it never hurts to ask.

I would say you could use them almost anywhere if you think about, pretty good idea. So what is the price and where can we get them?

I would love to know the dimensions on these, if you get a chance Ray. I've been looking for the right shelf to mount on the back of my standard box.
I typically run a grill in the box and would love to have a little prep space close by.

Hi Guys and Gals,

Never finished getting the info posted on these before going off on on Epic Ski Trip, which was awesome. Seven weeks of skiing while living in the van for all but 9 nights.

Back to the shelves: The dimensions are overall 19.75" wide x 11" high x 1.5" deep when stored. The usable shelf surface is 19" x 11" . Pictures are courtesy of Fitz's van and install. Fabbed from high quality Aluminum and anodized black. Lock pins are Stainless spring loaded.

Price is $195 plus shipping. PayPal or cash. Shoot me your zip and I will calc the shipping to your door. Let me know if any other questions. I do not have too many left in this batch. If you want two, let me know and I will see what we can work out. Thanks!!

Note: Z Awning Brackets coming mid June, Door Talons available now, Swivel Seat Base Buy 7 is on now.
