This is an old rust bucket of a Sportsmobile but it has some nice parts that could be used to start a really nice build.
The van runs but needs some attention before it would be drivable.
The brakes are bad and there is a leak in the coolant system.
There is a lot of rust damage. There are a lot of dents.
The interior camper parts are old and beat up.
There is a fridge and a stove but I’m not sure how well they work.
Some of the interesting and easily salvageable parts are the penthouse pop top, an under floor storage box, font passenger swivel seat base, the rear slider windows, the rear pop out windows, and the rear tire carrier.
The interior seats, small parts, and camper setup might be of interest to some.
The canvas on the pop top has a few holes and needs some patch work but the lift bars are not bent and top and 3 piece bed are in good condition.
This will need to be picked up with a trailer. It is not safe to drive.
I could potentially deliver it between Utah and Los Angeles or Portland for an additional fee based on time, distance, and trailer rental fee.
I have the title and some minimal info from Sportsmobile.
I bought this from a guy in MN and towed it here. It had been sitting out in a field for years. They used it as a camper and hunting blind.
I had intended to pull the penthouse for my van, part out the rest, and then sell the remainder to the junk yard. MSD then posted a nice full length top that I decided I liked more than this one so I acted crazy and bought it as well.
I’d like to sell the whole thing and be done with it but would consider selling parts if I can get a firm commitment on enough of the parts to get my money back out of it. I have another canvas set in good shape for the top that I might sell. I think I will be designing and sewing a new canvas for my van.
