Ford Aux Batt Box Portland, OR

Like the description says I have a ford Aux Battery frame attached box for sale that I bought from warehouse salvage. Its like new and I want to do local pickup only.

Price - $80

This is the one I bought if you are unsure if it will work or not - shipping to Portland was 35, hence the 80 dollar asking price -

So what you going to use to mount extra batteries if your not using it? Very curious what you are thinking. I need to add a few batteries this winter also.

Well the decision was to initially use this Odyssey Group 65 (https://www.batteriesplus.com/productdetails/heppc65) battery as my house battery. But then I realized that this Lifeline 4d (https://www.solar-electric.com/lifel...d-battery.html) battery made more sense and for only 100$ more gave me 210ah.

I'm surprised that more people don't run two 6v golf cart batteries in series. The down side is that they are flooded lead acid, meaning they need the water level checked occasionally, which is a little more work for frame mounted ones. The up side is they are much less expensive for the same number of amp hours. (about 210Ah) Two 6v's will run about $160 for the Costco brand, or a little more for something like a Trojan. I usually get about 3 or so years from a set, and I abuse them quite a bit, so for about 1/3 the cost of an AGM, checking the water once in a while seems like a good compromise.

So you going to build a battery tray for it? We know your welding skills, any chance to make a couple?

Well your probably confusing my welding skills for MG's welding skills because I can't weld. A battery tray will definitely be made for it, how many will be made is TBD but as soon as I get one done up I can post it on here and see if anyone else is interested in one!

I might be interested. I also have a late model E350 RB and am wondering where you hope to locate the battery.

Based on the dimensions of that Lifeline battery and adding some for the battery holder, looks like it'd be hanging at least 2" below the body (pinch weld) on my van. That won't work for me.
