Hello All,

We have decided to put our 2007 SMB up for sale: http://web.me.com/rayranada/jmoran

Re: FS: 2007 SMB 4x4 RB42 6.0PSD

Folks

If you are looking for a very well thought out, super clean, don't need anything else SMB, this is the one. I have been drooling over Jeff's van since he got it and had the pleasure of camping out in it on a guys weekend of shooting and eating. With the Deaver springs, it rides better than my little Honda Element. I can't think of anything I would change or want different. Everything from the color, to the rims/tires, bumpers, rack, interior and everything else just looks and feels right.

Everything was professionally installed, and it was professionally maintained as well. This thing is basically my dream vehicle...if I could afford it, it would be in my driveway!!!

Someone is going to be very happy with this van...I wish it was me!

Great looking SMB! A couple questions:

How many does it sleep?
Does it have a hot water heater?

Hi Bender, thanks for the kind words.

It sleeps two adults in the PH and two children below on the gaucho.

No hot water heater onboard our rig - and have never missed not having it. We generally use the solar shower for bathing.

Best,
JM

SMB can always add a hot water heater after the build. Jeff's van was the reason we bought our SMB. This van is fully capable off road and looks awesome in person. Who ever gets this van will truly have a great rig, especially with Ford discontinuing the Diesels on E-series vans. Good luck with your sale Jeff.

I like the solar panels on top. Any thoughts on protecting them when gear is in the rack? e.g. do you just lay a pad on top of 'em and be careful about weight?

Re: FS: 2007 SMB 4x4 RB42 6.0PSD

Bender,

The Solara cells are made for more exposure, at the expense of lower efficiency. For us it was logical trade off, as they are lightweight too. We like them. You can place duffle bags surfboard (in bag) and other software up on top, but nothing heavy that might damage them goes up there.

The sun power on the PH has enabled us to stay for days in one place, running the fridge and other accessories without having to start the van and drive. It's a good feeling. That is unless you are camping under a canopy of Redwoods in Del Norte State Park.

Congratulations to the new buyers who are driving 'Aggie' to CO from CA right now. Hopefully we'll see their posts here in the future. Found a great home for our van. Thank you Ray, for all your help!
