+2 I'd like to see as well!

The galley-boxes' own set of swing-away hinges seem like they would be pretty interesting.

How do the galley boxes' main set of mounted hinges "lock" in position....? Both when the galley is swung against the door for traveling, and also when it is swung out 90 degrees, as shown in that photo mikracer linked to?

Thing looks pretty darn well thought out.

Mine sits on hinge posts...the box lifts off so you can take it to a table although I've never felt the need move it cause it's kinda heavy. I've had mine cut loose on the trail and start swinging in the van. I had SMB reinforce the door around the hinges.

Just saw this pop up in the random pictures area. Not the OP's box, but it might also be an SMB box. If so, more details of the mounting pictured.

Not sure how to imbed the image.

Man, I cannot thank you guys enough for this valuable information. This has been on my wish list for years and just didn't have enough info to get started. Thank you very much, certainly one of the best/most functional van improvements out there and much easier than trying to fashion up a kitchen/stove combo on sliders out the back that takes up way too much space.

That's why it's called a 'gallery box'.

They typically use basic "lift off" hinges......for quick and easy removal.

I imagine someone here can post a close up pic if we ask nice....

.....and it can be modified readily to be non-lift off by getting a mirror-imaged hinge for one end....

Yes, the ones that go on barn style doors (Ford Econoline vans). They've been that way forever. The only vehicle they go on now is the SMB Classic.

Put a drop down door on your Aluminess box, a grill inside, and swing it around like this, combined with the galley box, and you have a full professional chef's kitchen.

Would the box interfere with a '50' bed?
