Home Build Project: 2000 E-350 Extd Cargo 7.3L Hi-Top *SOLD*

I lost my job just 3 months after I bought my dream project camper-van and have not been able to find consistent work since last October. So, sadly, I have to abandon my camper-van project. I've listed her on CL but I'd really like to see her go to a good home with someone on here who might finish the project.

When I say "project", I had big plans for this rig, including a 4x4 conversion with SMB forum member; U-Joint's kit, but didn't get anywhere near that far. Here are the specs:

*2000 Ford E-350 Super Duty extended 2wd cargo van with the awesome 7.3L Powerstroke
*Originally from Arizona till I brought it here to California a year ago, so it's totally rust-free!
*The body in general is in very nice condition, really clean. As is the interior.
*164,XXX miles. Purrs like a big diesel should, really nice running motor.
*It has the barn doors, which are a must if you plan to install oversized wheels.
*There are no windows in the cargo area, but can be added. I grew to like the windowless design since I park on the streets of a big city and liked the added security. I was actually planning to install a locking steel cab partition with interior dead bolts for the cargo doors...like a vault on wheels. I know that sounds extreme, but around here they'll break in to steal change from your cup holder.
*Has 1 rear bench seat with quick release clamps.
*Has the factory rear A/C and Heater option.
*The van walls and cab ceiling are insulated with aerosol foam.
*I installed 2 new Duralast Gold batteries.
*I had the Voyager style hi-top installed, and with all the rain we've had, I can promise you it does'nt leak...or squeak for that matter.
*Plenty of tread on all of the tires, including the spare.
*Tow hitch with 7-pin electrical connector and trailer brakes controller.
*Engine block heater for colder climates.
*It will be getting an oil and filter change before it's sold. Also, it has an alarm system which is not included and will be removed before sale.

Price is $7,900

I have a ridiculous number of pics on photobucket if you're interested: http://s306.photobucket.com/albums/nn27 ... e%20E-350/

Hate to see a van go for that reason.

Hey, is that bladder next to the seat for manual lumbar? If so, what is it and where did you get it, who can put one in, etc?

Thanks Bill. Hopefully someone on here or ExPo will fall in love with it, rather than it become just another work van.

Yes, it's a lumber support that I bought for around $50 and installed myself. It's real easy to do since the vans fabric seat upholstery peels up pretty easy once you un-snap the plastic snap seam under the seat back. I used about six small zip ties threaded through the rubber flange of the support bladder, through the foam of the seat-back and secured around the seat-back spring wire. It's so simple and inexpensive and works very well, holds the pressure nicely. I don't remember the brand, but if I were doing it again I would get one that had a retangular (pillow?) shaped bladder rather than the dog-bone shaped bladder that I have. It's different to the normal bladder and got a lot of rave reviews online, but I find that it feels a little odd to my spine. It does help with support on long drives though, just feels kinda odd to me. The stock seats are really lacking in lumber support, so I highly recommend this mod, but If I were doing it again I'd get the normal pillow shaped bladder.

Gulliver, did SMB put in the Voyager top for you? If so, how much did it cost, may I ask?

If not, where did you get the top?

Thanks, and sorry to hear that you need to sell. That's a bummer.
