When folks here post links to Craigslist, E-Hell, etc., I don't think they are doing it to help the seller. Rather, these folks are trying to help the buyers on this site. Competition isn't fun when selling, but we live in a market economy. Seems rather protectionist not to allow people to post off-site ads to help the potential buyers here, in my humble op. However, it burns me to see a person pimp'n his/her own wares with nothing more than a link to the listing elsewhere. Hard to police the difference. I co-mod a classifieds section on a different forum and our practice it to flat-out not allow a poster to post a link to an off-site ad. Its a problem with that area-specific forum (off-road cars/buggies) and without such a prohibition, sellers would take advantage. So far, with this small community, it does not seem to be a problem. Jage, what are your thoughts?
