Re: New Product - Trasharoo

Just ordered one online. Thanks.

Hey, would the extension straps be long enough for it to fit on a Baja (or other Aluminess) box?

Re: New Product - Trasharoo

Received the order, thanks! It will go out tomorrow via UPS.

As far as it fitting around a Aluminess box... it might reach around the small generator box.. im not positive. I dont have one to try.

take care and Happy Holidays!

Re: New Product - Trasharoo

They use standard 2" webbing and clips, you can always buy some new hardware and modify length, buckles etc. The back straps that hold it on aren't sewn so you can extend with some of these plastic slides and new webbing and reuse the existing clips:

I ordered online (from strapworks.com) because I had trouble finding hardware in all the sizes (one place will have 2" buckles but not 1.5" or 1.5" but no webbing ).

Re: New Product - Trasharoo

Dave,

Thanks, I received my TRASHROO. I really like it. It is everything and more than expected. Even a Saline Valley bat on it.......oops..... that is a kangaroo.

Thanks for the 2 trash bags enclosed. They are a perfect size and thickness. Where can I buy them? What brand are they?

Re: New Product - Trasharoo

It would be nice to have a special Great Basin Edition Trasharoo that has a kangaroo rat on it.
This is "Rosco", our Saline Valley campsite friend:

Re: New Product - Trasharoo

Update: Trasharoo2.0 prototype has been produced and we are in the testing phase.

Upgrades made thus far:

Longer straps to fit a tiresize up to 42"
Upgraded zipper
A second horizontal main strap for added strength
A mesh pocket for storing light items on the trail (not for propane tanks)
New Color: desert tan
Thicker Denier for added strength

Shooting for release possibly by March. May be taking pre-orders, don't know yet.

And yes, the snap clips still get UV/dirt covers... the prototype is just not showing them.

Dave,
The upgrades and additions look really great. The new color looks pretty sweet too.

Re: New Product - Trasharoo

Very nice Dave, though I still think you should produce a tire cover that the Trasharoo would couple to. The tire cover would be attached to the spare, with clips to be able to swap attached bags. You could offer different bags that way (single compartment, wet compartment / dry compartment, insulated, all mesh,....). Trasharoo 3.0?

One minor question on your mesh compartments. Is that an elastic band on the top of the mesh? If it is, it might be better to go with a drawstring / toggle combination, since elastic might degrade fairly quickly in sunlight.
