Congrats Mac,
I bet after seeing Mike's trailer on our Grand Canyon trip, you needed to have one!

Re: Offroad Trailer

That's it exactly, Steve. I thought I would have to do some real convincing to get my wife to agree to let me buy it, but we are planning a two-week trip up the coast of California in May and she saw the value of the extra space right away. We have another trip to Banff and Jasper, Canada that we want to take, so this trailer should be fine for those trips.

Re: Offroad Trailer

Mac, replied to your PM. Like I said, you won't have a problem selling it after you are done with it. I wanted it before, I want it now, I will still want it in a few more miles. Happy travels, see you out there!

Re: Offroad Trailer

Mac,

Let's try and hook up in May when you are touring the CA coast!

I'm near the coast, just south of San Francisco.

Re: Offroad Trailer

Mike:

That would be great. We will be stopping in San Jose to visit my wife's sister and her family. We will be leaving Vegas on May 10th and returning on May 23rd. We won't know when we will be in the San Jose area until right before we get there. We learned a long time ago the pleasure of having no plan when on vacation so we can relax and do whatever we want. Our coast trip will start in Santa Barbara and, it's possible, that we may get to Lompoc, for example, and like it so much we spend the entire two weeks there. . . or anywhere else along the way. Our intention is to travel up the the PCH to San Francisco and then return to Vegas stopping at Yosemite, Kings Canyon and Sequoia on the way back. We may do all of that . . . or none of that.

Looking forward to seeing you again!

Mac

Re: Offroad Trailer

Mac,

I like your travel plan. Always felt it is easy to overplan a trip. My planning generally consists of a destination, and if we don't make that because we found interesting places to stay, that's fine.

An exception was made for Alaska - we made reservations in Denali before we left.

Our first trip together, my wife asked where we were going to spend the night. When I said I didn't know, she nearly backed out. She had a hard time understanding that I didn't know where we would be later that day. Now she understands and agrees.

Just think, now you can carry as much as bill wilson and not look overloaded!

Mike
