pop out windows

I was at the local Pick-n-Pull hoping to get lucky and find a steering stabilizer off a E350 ambulance, no luck, guess I'll have to go to Ford and pay for the gold plated one. While I was there I found a (maybe) 1999 E350 15 passenger van with the no longer made pop out rear windows on the cargo doors. Also found the pop out window for the left side door. (The right side door on current passenger vans has a window that pops out.) Anyways, long story short, I nabbed them and since it was black Friday I got them for 50% off.

I was thinking of using them for my 2006 E350 RB but decided against it. The interior plastic trim from the donor E350 was trashed so I didn't grab them. A little Dremel™ work on your existing trim and it should be fine. The windows and gasket and latches are all complete. I'm located in Cupertino, CA so shipping will vary. The price is what I paid ($60 for all 3 windows) plus shipping.

If you're interested, shoot me an email. Sorry, I don't have picts. (I'm awful in trying to post picts even though I work on computers all day long.)

Re: pop out windows

Good Find. I have the fixed window glass left over from my conversion, including the plastic surrounds and the hardware if anyone is interested in them.

Re: pop out windows

A thread from the past talked about driving with rear pop-out windows open. FYI, there is a carbon monoxide issue in any moving vehicle or boat, for gasses to come in open rear windows or over the boats transom.

Oh right, I remember that. 4cruzer came by last weekend to pickup the 2 rear windows. He plans on opening them when he's parked and taking a nap/sleeping to get a little more air circulation. His dog seems to like to travel with him.

Re: pop out windows

Just an update ..

I gave away the pop out window for the left side door to a forum member about a month ago. They're all gone now.

I'm sure I'll stop by the pick-n-pull in the near future and if I see them again I'll grab them then post them on the forum.

That's all,
Ray
