It would be interesting if they focused on a specific 50 layout, which in turn would lower manufacturing costs. Could offer them "waitlist free" at a slight price increase and make even more $$$. Or offer at a lower price and sell even more of them. Makes you wonder how many they could sell this way. I bet 1 a week easily.

I guess no reason for them to change business models as business has probably never been better. But money is being left on the table, that's for sure.

From a biz perspective, SMB would have to increase their workforce and overhead. Simple thing to do, but consider that they are in a luxury type business. One downturn in the economy and their orders will tank and the market will be flooded with nice used vans going competitively.

A lot of well run businesses leave money on the table, it's better than falling short. But I get what folks are saying here. But on the other hand, the Fed is gonna raise rates, it has to, gonna have a big effect on the economy and loan rates coming up.

SMB West does offer new stock for sale. They buy vans and convert them using their basic floor plan. I only see one right now but in the past there might be more than a dozen. Sportsmobile Custom Camper Vans - New Stock Locations

They also snapped up a bunch of E350s while they were still available in 2014 and now those are gone.

There's a limit on how many vans you can have in the assembly line unless you buy an airplane hanger. Maybe property isn't that bad in Fresno but if the ability to get Peter Deltoro on the phone is any indication they have more business than they can handle.
