I sold mine for $75 in two days on Craigslist after I removed them.

Re: Should I pull the trigger ?

I have those same running boards on my Quigley. They're okay and I will probably replace them with Carr Super Hoops. When I get around to it I'll have the running boards up on the Member Classifieds.

Re: Should I pull the trigger ?

I like the floorplan as well. Should resale much faster because they are hard to find with that layout. I'd pass if your looking for 4x4. Say you pay $34K, could be another $1,500-3,000 in sales tax. Another $15-17K in 4x4 conversion. Your up to $50-54K by the time you convert to 4x4 and it still won't have any 4x4 accessories. You might as well pony up and buy a used 4x4 SMB for $50-60K. Will be much more stress free than undergoing what could be a 6 month 4x4 conversion process, which you (and the wife) will have no idea what the ride will be like. I'd much rather buy a used 4x4 SMB that I can test drive. Whats your time worth? Both the time it will take you to convert to 4x4 (even if UJOINT does it) and the time you will lose on the road are also monetary factors.

Re: Should I pull the trigger ?

There are quite a few used 4x4 Sportmobiles out there if you don't mind the travel time to take a look.

I can't speak to SMB but QuadVans ride better than a stock 2WD (surprisingly better) and it takes them less than a week to do a standard conversion, plus some extra days for the extras (diff upgrades, extra fuel tanks, underfloor storage etc). I have no idea what the waitlist time is however. I think there's a couple vans being built this week for some forum members here.

Re: Should I pull the trigger ?

Thanks everyone for all the feedback, it really helps! Well it's all set up I will be picking it up next Saturday the 9th unless the end of the world should happen to come. Don't think I'll get much sleep until then but that'll give me plenty of time to plan my first couple trips

BrianW... I will most certainly look you up after I get her all settled in.
everyone!!!

Re: Should I pull the trigger ?

Be sure to get it stuck on the way home so we can get a before/after opinion on the 4x4 conversion!
