Are these the seats people use as fronts? Or would they have to stay 2nd row?

I am in Tahoe and could be there quickly, however I have the same question. Can I use them in the front where I already have swivel bases?

Yes you two can use them in the front but you would need to purchase the seat bases from Ujoint and only the passenger side would swivel.

Also, chestnut brown comes up as two different colors in web searches. Are these dark brown or light brown?

Sorry for the delayed response. Yes these can be used in front or 2nd row. I purchased these seat to put in the front, however the cabinets I built do not accommodate the seats the way I expected. I have the seat base built for the passenger seat (similar to U-joint) that will fit on stock ford swivel base. It is ready to go. I found some other seats that fit my needs better so that is the route I went. I think they are dark chestnut brown. There is a thread out there on the u-joint van build, these are the same seats. PM me for pics, sorry I can not get them to download here. Thx.

Telehead sold them. Unfortunately not to me because I dragged my feet. They were that beautiful chocolate brown color MG put in the SEMA van.
