Less that $65K just trying to make some ca$h off the van life deal, which you already know .

YOu can get a new one very similar to the one above here for under $60k

https://denver.craigslist.org/hvd/d/...764823503.html

Seems like the further east you go the better the price, not may around these parts right now which I assume is why they are trying to make a buck, nothing wrong with trying to make some extra cash.

Ahh, you ruined it! Wanted him/her to admit it. Im all for people making money off of vans, just like a little more effort than hiking up prices on brand new ones.

I was trying to purchase a sprinter passenger 4x4 a few months ago from a dealer and they were asking 5k over sticker... I passed.

True dat. I put down my $2k deposit in Dec. 2016 and there is still no sign of the Sprinter showing up in Fresno. Some people would be very happy to pay $5k extra to chop 2 years off of a wait time. Besides, it's a passenger van, which costs more than a cargo van, and it could be loaded with enough extras to push the price north of $65k.

I bought a used Tiger for $75k and sold it 3 years later for $82.5k. Prices new had almost doubled, so the market bore out the price I sold it for. After what I paid in sales tax, though, it was a wash. I can't blame this guy for wanting to recover what he paid in sales tax. Having to pay sales tax on a vehicle every time it changes hands is ridiculous. It should be taxed once, when brand new, and never again.
