SOLD Pending Deposit. - Thanks 2002 Ford 4x4 Adventurewagen

SOLD, Pending deposit-Thanks for all the interest and inquiries. If anything falls through I have 2-3 on a list and will notify.Going to Colorado where I had 3-4 others also very interested.

2002 "Adventurewagen" Ford E-350 w/ Quigley 4X4 - One of the last Adventurewagens built by Ed Anderson. I posted briefly here a couple of years ago but couldn't follow through. Still not being used enough to justify hanging onto.
*Just detailed, & oil changed

Asking $54,000 obo but will negotiate/provide for cost of new tires of buyers choice. Good tread but aging and want to put E rated tires on. Sportsmobile sold me D rated BFG and all I've heard is E rated are so much better ride and load rating/safety. ***Holding off for a couple of weeks on new tires since buyer might have preference. Leaning towards Toyo

1 owner - 9600 actual miles on 6.8 V-10 - Very nicely built van w/ teak wood interior.

Sportsmobile did some work on this adding Amercican Racing Baja wheels, Rancho 9000x shocks, new tires, Correct track, and some other rear suspension work.
Reunel rear bumper w/ swing out tire carrier, & swing out carrier.

Can email anyone full build sheet w/ all details and options and will post some photos in Gallery shortly.

Any questions I can provide info. - Reply here or email me @ eric@schmittcompany.com

Thanks, Eric

Beautiful, unique interior and a very intersting fixed top (see his gallery). Good luck with the sale.

Out of curiosity, who makes the top on your van?

Re: 2002 Ford 4x4 Adventurewagen

Herb,
The top was Ed Anderson's mold from Adventurewagen.

Rumor is he gave this mold to Alan @ Sportsmobile when he retired in 2003 and they made 1 or 2 (Jimmy Buffet's Green Machine Sportsmobile) is the only one I ever saw a photo of.

Adventurewagen did a great job making these but I heard Sportsmobile thought they were too much of a PIA to deal with?

It's nicely shaped, great room, storage and head clearance.

Looks great, and may be what I'm looking for. Could you please include some idea of interior comforts and conveniences? Love the top!!
