As Matt at avcrig will be scanning in my interior for the new cabs, I had not considered breaking the interior down to template each piece for reproduction, good idea, but as mentioned, might get into some legal swamp area as far as copying SMB’s design on this.
That being said, stay tuned in on a different bat time, different bat channel.....there might be something brewing in the cave. 🦇
I suppose my interior is worth more than I thought......[emoji848]
Already have interested party from CL

I've been lurking on this site for years and actually bought my van off this site. I just became a member to join this thread. I'm eyeing an 06 psd here in bozeman to flip. I'm thinking about installing a smb pop top in Fresno and doing a buildout. Tell me more about your setup. Is it still available?

For sale: RB-50 SMB Interior

https://boulder.craigslist.org/pts/d...704511921.html

So I woke up this am and I’ve got at least 5 interested parties already wanting the interior, let the bidding war begin! I knew there’s a lot of home builders, I hadn’t considered a takeout interior would be so sought after, but again it’s a rare thing indeed.
Still working on removing it all, headed up to Loveland to hopefully finish it out this next week. Getting into all the hodgepodge electrical stuff I’ve had numerous people cram in there over the years-SMB’s original stuff, CCV top/roof lights, inverter, stereo crap....

So far, so good.....
Been a puzzle of sorts accessing all the screws and such, made some progress on the electrical stuff today too, photos of that will have to wait till tomorrow. The big ol’ Suburban heater came out too, opened up lots of space..no going back now!

No doubt you have a "vision" for your new interior, look forward to seeing what you come up with...mainly because it pains me so to see you pulling out such a great set-up. Certainly a challenging and complex task with a transition of that magnitude - I'm sure the new donor will be very happy with your efforts.

Looks like yours is coming apart great! My 50 interior basically disintegrated when I pulled mine. I started out being super careful but early in I realized there was no saving it so I all ended up in the dumpster. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

So pretty much everything "Sportsmobile" about this Sportsmobile will be or has been replaced! Looking forward to your build thread.

I know! Rick's going full on Frankenstein with his van these days. I dig it though. That interior butchery is bringing back memories.
