Am I CRAZY to consider a 6.0 that has not been "bulletproofed"?

No. But you should keep a reserve in your account to do it. Many many people run them to 200k miles without an issue. But if you’re not a lucky one, you will be hit with a $15k Bill. Or, if your the cautious type, you’ll do the work preventatively to avoid having issues on a trip which will cost you $8-12k depending on what you do.

Just don’t buy it thinking you’ll just change the oil every 3k miles for the next 10 years and be fine.

So it's posted on this forum as well as many others. 2007 with 76K on it. Priced the same or higher than others I've watched that have been bulletproofed. I guess I keep looking! Hopefully patience pays off.

This one is a forum members. Also it doesn't have a heater which I think was one of your criteria, although a diesel heater probably wouldnt be hard to add.

Help me out. This is a sweet van with just about every option, but is priced WAY higher than others I've looked at. It is a 7.3, and has been well cared for. I can't afford it, but I'd like to have it. What do you guys think about the price? $80,000 REALLY??

For $85K (asking), there's a 2013 Ford RB E350 V-10 4×4 on SMBw's pre-owned SMB section. No affiliation.

I’ve run the numbers on building something comparable, and I personally think it’s $10-15K high. But my opinion and 10 bucks will get you a cold beer anywhere in town. As always, it comes down to what the market will bear. Plus the 7.3 premium.

Man, I would go V10 over a 7.3 at that price all day long. That thing is still super old and even if the engine goes 400k miles, the door cables, plastics and everything else will start to disintegrate long before the engine dies.

I agree completely. I'd be trying to buy that one if it was priced decent.
