You will need the build number which is on the drivers door (where they put the VIN barcode and tire pressure info). Randy will be away until next week but his son can help you out. (I picked a van up there last week)

Re: Wanted: very basic running Ford 4x4 van for custom project

Go to cars.com and use their search function. There are usually close to a hundred used E350s available in the southern CA area (LA to San Diego) at any given time.

Re: Wanted: very basic running Ford 4x4 van for custom project

Not to derail this thread but I called Advanced in SLC three times and emailed twice about a quote to do a conversion on all 2wd SMB and never heard a word. Quadvan and Ujoint replied quickly and completely and will get my business when it is time.

Re: Wanted: very basic running Ford 4x4 van for custom project

Alright you sound like the perfect guy for this---my van got sideswiped and suffered over 12,000 dollars in body damage....however the 4x4 and engine were not effected!! I am getting paid out from the other drivers insurance, and i am buying back the van from the insurance company as a totaled vehicle....The van has all kinds of features....check out my profile.....the accident hit the drivers side, which would definitely need some repairs....the body shop that did the estimate was trying to rebuild the side panel exactly as it was, so that is why the estimate got so high. I think a good body shop could get a basic side panel repair job done for much cheaper. I am going travelling in Australia for an undecided amount of time, so I am taking this loss as a sign. Bottom line is that I would be stoked to see you the van for a reasonable price----$5000 sounds like a win win deal for both of us!!! So if this sounds appealing, lemme know....i have fotos of the damage if you wanna see them. Its a 1994 E250 with Quigley 4x4, sink, fridge, propane stove and heater, pop top, wood floors, underfloor storage, shotgun seat captain chair, inverter, custom bumper, mickey thompson 33 inch all terrains, ladder, hitch, tint, sony stereo.....and much more!! ALOHA!!! jojo

Seems like a smokin' deal for someone. Fingers crossed for a quick sale.

di... aw, man!

Just kidding you can have it- should be a good project to watch what happens.

Vanman, SMB will help with valuation- if you don't like what the ins co is saying you don't have to take their check right away.. I'm assuming insurance adjusters still like to take advantage of younger people...
